"What are the differences between different publishing settings?"

- The publishing dialogue box has several options available:

Smart publish: Will only publish items on which a change or update has been detected.

- This is the publishing setting used for %90 of operations. 

Republish: Fully republishes the selected item and any related or sub-items depending on which options are selected.

- Avoid using this option if the selected item is a top level item, or contains many sub-items.

Publish subitems: Publishes sub-items of the selected item. This only extends to the first level of sub-items (items nested two or more levels underneath the selected item will be excluded).

Publish related items: Publishes any media items or pages that the selected item contains links to.

Publishing Targets: Should always be set to "Internet(web)"
